This type of signage allows the wall to be visible behind and between the letters, making it an attractive option for displaying logos or slogans in entryways. It also serves as a budget-friendly alternative to lighted channel letters for exterior signage.
The thickness of the letters varies based on size: smaller letters are typically ¼” thick, medium letters are ½” thick, and larger letters are ¾” thick. These can be mounted using studs on various surfaces, including exterior EIFS, masonry, or brick walls, as well as interior sheetrock walls.
CNC cutting is available in a variety of materials, with PVC being the most cost-effective choice that remains durable for both exterior and interior use. The PVC letters are coated with an exterior-grade 100% Acrylic Latex paint, resulting in a semigloss, slightly textured finish. Another option is Aluminum Composite, which can feature either a spray-painted gloss finish or a brushed metal finish. For a more architectural aesthetic, letters or logos can also be crafted from cast aluminum, available in either a powder-coated or anodized finish.
